Suicide?

Imagine for a second, you have an artist friend - an exceptionally loving, sweet and kind friend - who gifts you a painting, a painting they are very proud of, one very close to their heart, one that can easily be called a masterpiece. Imagine. And you just rip that painting off, like destroy it and end it completely by burning it or doing something that doesn’t leave even a trace of it. Suicide’s like that. The artist is Allah, who has no doubt fashioned us in the most beautiful and perfect of ways and created us with so much love and affection. Killing ourselves is like destroying that painting and not valuing the love and effort that friend has put in it. The way an artist admires his paintings or works is the way Allah admires His humans, that too each one of us. It would be too selfish to destroy an imanat or even smudge or smear just a little, something that was created out of so much pure love, a love that encompasses all color, cast, creed, a love that flows much beyond the constraints of human grasp or mind; only a love this pure can create creatures so loving. Perhaps that’s why we have so much love in the core of our hearts, ready to be given, because we were created purely out of it.
I hope you never forget that.
This saves me every time. I hope I save you too.
(All I can say to all those struggling, to all those who feel it’s too hard holding on, and to all those who have stopped looking for reasons to breathe, I hope you all find a sign, something that makes you hold on and believe again.)
