Eid ul Adha Mubarak

Eid ul Adha this year feels like all about realizing the worth of things, the worth of stolen happy moments in between of otherwise melancholic situations. the worth of little instances of joy piling to fill your life with even a day’s worth of relief and peace. the worth of being surrounded by family, love and utmost care and affection of your grandparents as another loses theirs. the worth of unexpected intrusions of beauty and colorful pleasantries in otherwise gray life. the worth of all the things which, most of the times, perhaps go unnoticed or not appreciated enough.

Because in our fast paced lives, we tend to forget how special these seemingly little but insurmountable moments, instances or blessings mean until we are entrapped in the fear of losing them. This Eid, I hope I don’t fail to recognize and collect the warmth surrounding me, in various forms that Allah has chosen for me and I hope Allah gives me strength and courage to spread that warmth around me in ways I find myself capable of, and mostly I hope I remain grateful to Him for providing those sources of warmth in times like these.
